Intel to Pay Intergraph $300 Million in Patent Suit

Intel has agreed to pay at least $300 million to settle a long-running legal dispute with Intergraph, which at one time developed its own microprocessor for high-end workstations, the companies said in a joint release. Under the terms of the deal, Intel will pay $300 million to settle claims that its Pentium lines of chips infringed on patents held by Huntsville, Ala.-based Intergraph.
