Justice Department Shows Some Librarians Favor Filtering

The U.S. Justice Department, which is defending the Children's Internet Protection Act (CIPA) in court, is seeking to show that not all librarians agree with the ALA's thou-shalt-not-block stand. David Ewick, director of the Fulton County Public Library in Rochester, Indiana, testified that he has no problem shielding adult and minor patrons from material that's entirely legal and unlikely to offend anyone.
