Microsoft Asks Judge to Dismiss States' Case

Microsoft Corp. asked a federal judge to dismiss the antitrust case against it brought by a coalition of states, arguing that they failed to make their case after presenting nearly a month of testimony from 15 witnesses. The company said that the states presented "no material evidence" that Microsoft's violations of antitrust laws are responsible for the overwhelming dominance of its Windows operating system for personal computers.
