Trial Date Set for Challenge to HP-Compaq Merger

Dissident Hewlett-Packard Co. director Walter Hewlett's lawsuit seeking to halt the company's merger with Compaq Computer Corp. will go to trial April 23, a Delaware judge said. The suit, filed March 28, claims HP improperly enticed a big investor to back the deal and the company misled investors about the progress of plans to integrate the two computer giants.
