E-Data Settles Patent Lawsuit Against CompuServe, Intuit

E-Data Corp., which owns a patent it says covers downloading information over the Internet, said it settled a lawsuit against AOL Time Warner Inc.'s CompuServe, Intuit Inc. and other companies. The settlement of the 1995 lawsuit filed in federal court in New York was reached with Internet service provider CompuServe, software maker Intuit and the closely held companies Telebase Systems Inc., Library Corp. and Internet Shopping Network, E-data said in a statement.
