Japan Decides Against Pursuing Microsoft Antitrust Charges

The European Commission denied a statement by Microsoft that EU regulators had approved a business practice that Japanese antitrust authorities subsequently investigated as illegal. A spokeswoman for the Commission told Reuters that the Commission had simply decided "not to pursue the case" once Microsoft changed its practice.
